Small Beginings

Harvest Time International was founded in 1991 by John and Mary Murphy. It began with the desire of a generous couple to help people, gathering food and basic need items in their own garage to distribute to families in need. Soon the garage was outgrown, the first storage space was rented in 1994.

Due to a rising need in the community Harvest Time International was forced to relocate and add additional warehousing facilities over the years. In the beginning the focus was on sustaining local nonprofit organizations, soup kitchens and food banks in Central Florida and worldwide. In 1999 Harvest Time International opened its doors to directly serve local families through what today is known as the Community Hope Center.

In 2006 Harvest Time International moved into today’s 100,000 sf facility located in Sanford, Florida.

Harvest Time International continues to grow each year, meeting the needs of thousands of families in Central Florida and abroad.

Since its beginning Harvest Time International is characterized by the founders desire to help people in need, through hard work, dedication and faith in God.
